On Friday, January 29, 2021, multiple departments from Marshall County, Indiana, safely joined Tennessee-based BOLDplanning for a mid-term Continuity of Operations (COOP) workshop. The workshop, hosted remotely by BOLDplanning’s Manager of Global Solutions, James Woulfe, CBCP, was split into two half-day sessions. Both sessions focused on establishing the interdependencies of three key plan elements, people, places, and things, for the continuation of essential functions in the event of a business disruption.
Among the departments participating in the COOP workshop were the Planning Commission, Human Resources, the Health Department, and Emergency Management. Comments from participants confirmed that the workshop sessions were beneficial to planners who are new to continuity planning.
Over the next three business weeks, Marshall County planners will continue to develop their departmental COOPs, all of which feed into the County’s overarching plan. Plan Review week, also to be facilitated by BOLDplanning, begins on February 22nd.
Keep up the great work and we’ll see you (online) then!
