While the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly put a damper on most things, it has not squelched the desire of BOLDplanning clients to move forward with their Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning efforts. Take the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for example. Just last week, January 14 and 15, 2021, several of its employees joined BOLDplanning representatives, Fulton Wold, CBCP, Mandi O’Grady, and James Woulfe, CBCP, for four online workshop sessions geared toward COOP plan development.
Participants learned the basics of using the cloud-based BOLDplanning.com platform, as well as recommendations for building and maintaining the City’s departmental and overarching COOP plans. Together, they successfully set up a new department for Executive Administration (it works with the Mayor’s office and oversees other departments) within the plan, providing designated site administrators convenient, yet secure access to exclusive plan details when necessary.
Special thanks to Cassidy Ezzi, the City of Little Rock’s Emergency Management Analyst, for attending all four workshop sessions and ensuring things ran smoothly for everyone in attendance. The next meeting, a COOP Mid-Term Workshop, will take place on February 19, 2021.
