According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, there are approximately 90,000 dams nationwide. And, unfortunately, the federal government recognizes about 15,000 of them as having high-hazard potential. That means that failure could result in significant destruction of property, or worse, loss of life. So, in keeping with its commitment to promote dam safety, the National Dam Safety Review Board Training Task Group will conduct its annual Technical Seminar on February 16-19, 2021.
