What a difference a few short months can make when it comes to advancing emergency preparedness. Just since late July/early August 2019, Wayne County, New York, has participated in three rounds of Continuity of Operations (COOP) training led by Tennessee-based BOLDplanning—the latest of which took place on October 15, 2019. The County has also worked towards adding 45 departmental COOP plans (along with those of all participating towns and villages) to the online BOLDplanning.com platform.
During the October installment of COOP training, BOLDplanning representatives, Cathleen Atchison, MEP, PCP, and Chad Bowers, CBCP (and BOLDplanning co-founder), met with various Wayne County departments one-on-one. Together, they reviewed, revised and finalized plan contents. All that’s left to do now is for the County to approve, adopt and implement the plan. (Early congratulations to Wayne County for a job well done!)
Wayne County, New York, is also working with BOLDplanning to update its Hazard Mitigation Plan.
